Button flowers
These simple button flowers first made an appearance on the blog a year ago, and are still one of our most visited posts! They looks so beautiful but are brilliantly easy and cheap to make. Win, win!

Pronto passport pouch!
If you're anything like us you'll love the thrill of travelling but not the airport bits where you have to produce your documents from the depths of your bags whilst juggling kids, belts, shoes and iPads! If this sounds familiar then this project is going to make things a little easier.
We've used the brightest felt, so you'll always be able to find your passport in your bag...even after a long haul!
You only need a button, thread and felt, so it's super cheap too.
You could even add a ribbon to the top to hang round your neck...or make a larger one to fit the whole family's passports!
Bon voyage!

Reader pics: Netherlands and Finland
We love seeing what you've made from our book Craft It Up Around The World!
This week we were excited to get an email from Zac and Oscar in England. Oscar has done a great job with our Netherlands flower project. He used paper instead of felt to make the flowers and leaves and the colours are vibrant and beautiful! And how cute are Zac and Oscar's little 'Saving For a Snowy Day' money boxes? Loving that rainbow ribbon and their sweet little faces!
Keep them coming boys!

Beautiful bright button flowers!
Here in Sydney, Australia we are starting to see signs that Spring is on the way!
We thought we'd bring you one of our favourite projects to celebrate the start of warmer weather and beautiful new growth. It's also one of our simplest and quickest projects too, so you'll be able to whip up a bunch of these beauties in no time.
If your thoughts are turning to Autumn and Fall, you could make some flowers to keep Spring with you all the time!
Keep an eye on the blog for a super sweet Fall project in the coming weeks!

Reader craft pics: Antarctica's 'In Awe of Aurora' print and Spain's Click-clack Button Castanets
We love it when we hear how much you like our book, but what's even better is when we hear about the fabulous projects you're making!
Yesterday we received an email from a Mum in Bath telling us about the 'Click-clack Button Castanets' her daughter and friends had made with Peppa Pig paper. So sweet! They also tried our 'In Awe of Aurora' print, improvising with the materials they had on hand! How great is that?
They wrote,
'We don't have any filter paper so they used watercolours and held the paper in the rain for a few seconds (we have had first rain for about 2 weeks). They were so happy!!'
We'd love to see your photos and hear your crafty stories! Email us at: craftitup(at)live(dot)com(dot)au

Thanks for making our day girls! You've done such an awesome job and we think both of those wonderful pictures should be framed!
